Supernatural Faith Begins With Knowing Jesus

He is the Living God: Seeking the Source of All Things
Him. He is not some far-off being to merely study from afar. He is the living God who sent His Son to walk among us, speak to us, reveal the Father to us, and ultimately reconcile us back into relationship with Him.
In John 17:22–26 (NASB), Jesus prays something so profound that if we truly grasped it, it would completely transform the way we live:
“The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me…”
Think about that for a moment. Jesus was not only praying for the disciples standing before Him. He was praying for us. For future believers. For every heart that would one day say yes to Him. He prayed that we would know the Father the same way He knew the Father. That the love of God would dwell inside of us. That we would not simply know about Him, but that Christ Himself would be revealed within us.
The Power of the Indwelling Spirit
Then, after Christ ascended, He promised something even greater: the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:7–8 (NASB) declares:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses…”
The literal Spirit of the living God now dwells inside of believers. That truth alone should shake us. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives within us. The same Spirit that empowered the apostles, comforted the persecuted church, revealed mysteries, healed the sick, and transformed lives is still moving today.
God did not stop speaking. He did not stop healing. He did not stop revealing Himself. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
This is where faith becomes more than theology. More than tradition. More than words printed on a page. Because for many people, these truths can feel distant. Abstract. Almost unreachable. Some may wonder, That was wonderful for them back then, but how does it apply to us now?
Seeking the Heart of the Father
But the reality is this: God has not changed. He is still Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. Romans 11:36 proclaims:
“For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.”
Everything begins with Him. Everything flows through Him. Everything returns to Him. The answer has never been striving harder or trying to manufacture spirituality. The answer has always been seeking Him. Scripture says, “Seek Me and you WILL find Me.” Not maybe. Not if you are perfect. You will find Him when you pursue Him with your whole heart.
The heart behind everything I write—whether it is ministry, devotionals, articles, or even fiction—is this: I want people to know Jesus. Truly know Him. Not simply hear sermons about Him. Not merely inherit religion from their family. I want people to encounter Him personally. To experience His presence. To have Him become undeniably real in their lives.
Revelation changes everything. When Jesus reveals Himself to someone, they are never the same again. Scripture says He stands at the door and knocks. The question is not whether He is willing to enter. The question is whether we will open the door.
A Faith Born of Intimacy
I was recently asked to write an article about faith, and honestly, I could not separate supernatural faith from the Gospel itself. Because true faith is born from intimacy with God. It grows through dependence on Him. It deepens through surrender.
And I have seen Him move in ways that can only be described as miraculous. I am talking about provision appearing at the exact right moment. Money showing up when there was no earthly explanation. Protection in moments where I should not have survived. Healing that came from His hand alone. There have been times in my life where death should have had the final word. But God intervened.
What overwhelms me most is realizing He loved me before I ever understood His love. My ignorance of His love did not diminish His love for me. That truth is powerful.
Imagine someone had placed five million dollars in a bank account for you as an inheritance, but you never knew it existed. You would still be a millionaire. Your lack of awareness would not change the reality of what had been given to you. The only thing missing would be revelation. Knowledge. Understanding of what already belonged to you.
That is what the Gospel is like.
The Gospel is called “good news,” but in truth it is almost too good to believe. God offers love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, adoption, identity, and eternal life—not because we earned it, but because Christ paid for it. We do not strive to become worthy of His love. We receive His love and allow it to transform us from the inside out. That is mercy. That is grace.
Understanding Your Inheritance
And once you truly understand your inheritance in Christ, it changes the way you live. Identity becomes rooted in Him rather than the world. Scripture tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. That we are the head and not the tail. That we are chosen, redeemed, beloved, and called. We are the apple of His eye.
But if we never open His Word, if we never seek Him personally, we remain unaware of what already belongs to us spiritually.
Recently I watched the film A Great Awakening, centered around George Whitefield and the spread of the Gospel during the Great Awakening in America. As I watched, I was deeply moved because the presence of God was evident all over his life. Whitefield was not powerful because of charisma alone. He was powerful because the Spirit of God was with him. He carried conviction because he carried communion with God.
And what struck me most is that the same Spirit available to him is available to us today.
Returning to the Gospel in a Critical Hour
We are living in a time filled with political division, unrest, fear, confusion, and instability. Yet history reminds us that generations before us faced many of the same struggles. Human hearts have always wrestled with pride, fear, power, and rebellion against God. But throughout every generation, the answer has remained the same: Return to the Gospel. Return to truth. Return to Jesus.
God is calling His people back to authenticity. Back to holiness. Back to surrender. The true Gospel is not about building platforms or creating emotional moments. It is about repentance. Transformation. Dying to self. Laying down our lives and following Christ wholeheartedly. It is about becoming living witnesses of His goodness in a world desperate for hope.
One of the unique realities of our generation is that we have unprecedented access to the world through technology and social media. We can reach people instantly across nations and cultures. The question is: what are we using that influence for? Are we pointing people toward ourselves, or toward Jesus?
That question sits at the heart of my Voices from the Fortress series. Yes, the books are fiction. Yes, they are creative stories. But underneath every page is one central question: What would the world look like if people were truly led by the Spirit of God?
What if creativity itself became surrendered to Him? What if art, storytelling, music, film, business, and leadership were fully yielded to the Holy Spirit? What if our gifts were not simply used for success or recognition, but to reveal Jesus to a generation searching for truth?
Who is the Source?
I believe we are living in a critical hour where faith is being tested—not necessarily through lions’ dens or fiery furnaces, but through allegiance. Through trust. Through dependence. Who are we truly relying on? Governments? Systems? Culture? Ourselves? Or the God who provides every breath we breathe?
Do we wake up seeking Him first? Do we ask Him to guide our decisions? Do we search His heart before chasing our own ambitions? Do we allow Him to interrupt our plans? Because supernatural faith is not built in comfort. It is refined through testing.
If you truly pursue God, there will be opposition. You will be questioned. Misunderstood. Pressured to compromise. There will be moments you want to quit. But Galatians 6:9 reminds us:
“Do not grow weary in doing good; for at the proper time, you will reap the harvest.”
So do not give up. Keep seeking Him. Keep trusting Him. Keep returning to the source. One moment from A Great Awakening stayed with me deeply. Benjamin Franklin compared himself to the rod and Whitefield to the spark, but Whitefield responded with a question that pierced straight through me:
“Who is the source?”
That is everything. Because at the end of the day, the source is not talent. Not charisma. Not platforms. Not influence. The source is God Himself.
Conclusion: Seek Him
Originally, I thought this article would become a powerful message about supernatural faith. But as I sat with the Lord, I felt Him redirecting my heart entirely back to the Gospel. Back to Jesus. Almost as if He was saying:
“My people need to know Me.”
Not know about Him. Know Him.
Because when people truly encounter Jesus, everything changes. He transforms us from the inside out. He heals what no one else can heal. He restores identity. He brings peace where there was chaos. He gives purpose where there was emptiness.
So if there is one thing I hope people walk away with, it is this: Seek Him.
Not casually. Not halfway. Seek Him with everything in you. Open His Word. Spend time in His presence. Invite Him into every broken place, every fear, every question, every dream, every wound. And then surrender it all to Him.
Because the God of all creation is still knocking at the door of human hearts—and He is still changing lives today.
