Truth & Liberty warns Big Tech bias may suppress GOP voter engagement

Richard HarrisWOODLAND PARK, Colo. — A new analysis of email delivery patterns fosters concerns that Big Tech platforms may be suppressing Republican voter engagement efforts, potentially limiting Americans’ access to political information ahead of elections.

Data cited in a recent report indicates that Google’s Gmail service delivered a significantly higher percentage of Democrat campaign emails to users’ inboxes compared to Republican messages. Over a 90-day period, 64% of Democrat emails reached inboxes, compared to 46% of Republican emails.

The discrepancy, according to Townhall, suggests Republican communications are more frequently routed to spam folders, limiting their visibility and potentially affecting outreach.

Such disparities could influence voter engagement by reducing the ability of campaigns to communicate directly with constituents. Concerns have also been raised about warnings issued by Google regarding links to WinRed, a widely used Republican fundraising platform.

“Big Tech’s growing control over the flow of information raises serious concerns about whether Americans are being given a fair opportunity to make informed decisions,” said Richard Harris, executive director of Truth & Liberty, and host of the “Truth & Liberty Show.”

“Big Tech’s continued censorship of conservative views underscores the need for a restoration of the values of freedom of speech and belief in America. The insidious spread of ‘woke’ ideology has included the rise of suffocating cancel-culture. Big Tech’s suppression of speech is made especially worse by the hidden methodologies and tactics they employ to do it. It’s time for Americans of all persuasions to stand up and demand that these powerful organizations adhere to standards of transparency, accountability and freedom.

“Big Tech’s censorship does not help protect truth; it only fosters more suspicion and distrust,” Harris said.

Supporters of reform say transparency and accountability are needed to ensure that technology platforms do not inadvertently — or intentionally — shape political outcomes.

“Americans must be able to access information freely and weigh competing ideas without interference,” Harris said. “Anything less risks eroding the foundation of self-government.”
