Saturday Night Battleground on
Abundant TV: Dust-ups, open challenges,
and a champion who will not play fair
The next episode of Saturday Night
Battleground on Abundant TV delivered
another night of action-packed matches
and stories heating up across Ephesians
Pro Wrestling. Smith and Wesson voiced their frustrations, Aaron Eagle
revealed more about his goals, Kirk Castle kept his rivalry with Langley
alive, and Brixton Shaw once again escaped with the EPW
Championship in controversial fashion.
Smith and Wesson Get a Wake-Up Call
After being denied entry last week, Kaptain found former EPW Tag Team
Champions Colt Smith and Graham Wesson were back outside the
Lordatorium, frustrated about being left off the show’s lineup. The pair
reminded everyone that they
were the first EPW Tag Team
Champions and helped build
EPW.
Kaptain gave them a pep talk,
encouraging them to stand up
for themselves and earn their
respect back. His words lit a fire
under the duo, and Wessen ended the conversation saying, “If we want
our place back, maybe we just have to take it.”
Dustin “The Mogul” Bogle vs. Retro Dewey Deklin
The night opened with Dustin “The Mogul” Bogle showing off his money
and arrogance. Carrying a bag of cash and a basketball, he offered $500
to any fan who could dribble ten times in a row, only to snatch the ball
away at the last second and mock a young fan. Retro Dewey Deklin
came to the ring to shut him up and give the crowd something to cheer
for.
Deklin started strong, but Bogle relied on cheap tricks to gain the
advantage. He tried to bribe the referee with his money, even shoved a
dollar bill into Deklin’s mouth, and bent the rules at every chance. After a
hard-fought match, Bogle faked a distraction with the ref, hit a low blow,
and finished Deklin with a chokeslam for the win.
Ember Lyn Issues an Open Challenge
Following the opening contest, Ember Lyn appeared on-screen with a
message. She reminded fans that she made history in EPW’s first-ever
women’s match back at Silver Revival and announced that she will make
her return next week on Saturday Night Battleground. Ember issued an
open challenge, expressing her hope that it will be the start of a full
women’s division in EPW.
Aaron Eagle vs. Langley
Backstage, Onyx interviewed
Aaron Eagle about his connection
with Dustin Bogle after seeing
their exchange last week. Eagle
refused to answer, telling her not
to worry about it.
When Onyx pressed on to ask why he was in EPW, Eagle finally explained that he
has won titles and tournaments across wrestling, but there is one thing
missing from his career: the EPW Tag Team Championships. He said
EPW rules require a partner for that goal and hinted that he already
found one, but he would not say who. Leaving more mystery for us to
hopefully find out soon.
Soon after, we see Eagle facing Langley in a fast-paced and competitive
match after their confrontation last week. Langley used his speed to stay
one step ahead, but Eagle’s power and rule-breaking gave him the
upper hand. Just as Langley looked ready to win, EPW Texas Champion
Kirk Castle’s music hit, distracting him long enough for Eagle to recover.
Eagle hit his move, The Cancellation, and picked up the victory.
Castle’s interference made it clear that the issues between him and
Langley are far from over, as their rivalry continues to grow week after
week.
Main Event: EPW Championship – Brixton Shaw (c)
vs Adam Asher
The main event featured another heated battle between Brixton Shaw
and Adam Asher for the EPW Championship. Asher came in focused
and determined, while Shaw did everything he could to frustrate him.
Shaw stalled early, rolled in and out of the ring, and targeted Asher’s
knee whenever he got the chance.
Late in the match, Asher had Shaw trapped in the corner and charged in
for a big move. Shaw pulled the referee in front of him, forcing Asher to
stop to avoid hurting the official. Asher checked on the referee, giving
Shaw a chance to strike from behind with a reverse flatliner. The impact
caused Asher to fall forward and accidentally low-blow the referee,
leaving both men down. With the referee out, Shaw grabbed his
championship belt and struck Asher on the head. When the referee
came to, Shaw made the cover and scored the three-count to retain his
title.
After the match, a bloodied and furious Asher stormed backstage and
confronted EPW GM Mr. Kyle. He demanded another match with Shaw,
this time inside a cage where Shaw could not cheat or run away. Mr.
Kyle agreed but told Asher that he would have to climb back up the
rankings to earn it. If he succeeds, he will get his rematch inside a steel
cage in December.
Looking Ahead
Tensions continue to rise across Ephesians Pro Wrestling after another
chaotic night on Saturday Night Battleground. Adam Asher’s demand for
a cage match has been heard, but can he climb back to the top in time to
face Brixton Shaw in December? Aaron Eagle left fans wondering who
his mystery partner could be and what his ties to Dustin Bogle really
mean. Warhawk Kirk Castle and Langley’s feud show no sign of slowing
down, and Smith and Wesson seem ready to make their move after
being shut out again.
Meanwhile, Aiden the Dragon has been quiet since his opening night
loss, and the uneasy alliance between Ryan Heart and HBO continues
to hang by a thread. With so many rivalries and unanswered questions,
the road ahead for EPW looks more unpredictable than ever.
