PragerU Launches Nationwide Effort to Take on Scholastic’s Book Fair Monopoly

https://www.prageru.com/LOS ANGELES — PragerU is coming to a school or library near you with PragerU Kids Book Fairs, a nationwide effort to give families a values-based option for books students can read, learn, and enjoy.

PragerU Kids Book Fairs deliver educational content directly into classrooms and libraries, offering an alternative for students who are too often denied the truth about our country’s history and what makes America exceptional.

Scholastic and others have embedded themselves into thousands of schools—creating what is effectively a nationwide pipeline of woke content directly into children’s backpacks. Some of the books Scholastic promotes and features on its “Gold” line include titles like Melissa, which urges young readers to question their biological identity.

Parents have been sidelined for too long, and are instead told to trust “education experts” who don’t share the same values.

That’s why PragerU is offering this solution for families across the country. Each PragerU Kids Book Fair features 16 different books for K–12 students and is paired with videos and optional lesson plans to keep learning going beyond any single page.

The collection includes the Trailblazers of America series, which brings America’s legendary pioneers to life, and Cash Course and Street Smarts, which teach financial literacy and practical life skills. These titles and more highlight American history and the people and events which shaped it, while reinforcing themes of courage, personal responsibility, faith, family, and freedom.

“A few publishing companies have monopolized school book fairs for far too long. And if parents only knew the kinds of books made available to their kids, they’d demand more options. Parents need an alternative they can trust,” said Marissa Streit, CEO of PragerU. “PragerU Kids Book Fairs offer a wholesome and patriotic option to celebrate the principles that shaped our country, all the while encouraging a real love of learning.”

The launch comes as more parents across the country seek a more active role in their children’s education, along with greater transparency and oversight into what students are reading and learning. PragerU Kids Book Fairs are designed to come alongside parents and families, making it easy for schools and local libraries to do right by students.

Parents can request their school or local library host a free PragerU Book Fair at prageru.com/book-fair. Supporters can also sponsor a Book Fair in schools and libraries across the country.
