Arise. Awake. O Sleeper.

When Heaven Calls You Out of Silence
There are moments in history where the God of Heaven releases more than encouragement. He releases a wake-up call. Not a gentle suggestion. Not motivational noise. Not emotional hype.
A summons.
A holy interruption that shakes people out of survival mode, out of spiritual numbness, compromise, fear, exhaustion, and slumber.
And I believe we are living in one of those moments now.
“Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength…” — Isaiah 52:1
“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” — Ephesians 5:14
For years, many believers have been spiritually asleep… but still functioning outwardly. Attending church every week. Posting scripture on social media. Singing songs about faith or anything “Christian”. Going through the daily routines and checking all the “right” boxes. Yet inwardly: their fire diminished, their discernment weakened, their passion faded, their prayer life dried up, their courage disappeared, and their identity became buried beneath disappointment, trauma, distraction, entertainment, politics, fear, striving, and survival.
I believe Heaven is speaking again in this hour. It is saying:
Awake. Not tomorrow. Not when life feels easier. Not when every answer arrives. NOW.
God Is Calling a Sleeping Church to Rise
The enemy does not fear lukewarm religion. He fears believers who are fully awake to who Jesus is and who they are in Him.
I believe we are stepping into an hour where God is shaking people awake again. The cry of “Awake, awake” throughout Scripture was never merely poetic language. It was prophetic. It was God confronting passivity. Throughout the Bible, awakening always precedes movement.
-
Before revival comes awakening.
-
Before reformation comes awakening.
-
Before breakthrough comes awakening.
-
Before restoration comes awakening.
God awakens people before He moves through them, and right now, there is a deep stirring happening across the earth. You can feel it. Deep in your gut. Deep within that well of inner “just knowing”.
People are tired of shallow Christianity. Tired of performance-driven religion. Tired of empty words without power. Tired of noise without presence. Tired of churches that entertain but do not transform. There is a hunger rising again for holiness. For truth. For the genuine presence of Jesus. For lives fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of God is calling sleepers to wake up.
“Shake Off the Dust”
Isaiah 52 does not simply say “wake up.” It says:
“Shake yourself from the dust.”
Dust represents places where hope died. Places of grief. Defeat. Disappointment. Bondage. Cycles. Weariness. Identity loss.
Some believers have spent so long in survival mode that they forgot they were called to carry glory. Some have lived beneath what Heaven spoke over them because pain convinced them they were disqualified. They have believed all the lies.
But Heaven is saying: Shake off the dust.
-
You are not who trauma said you were.
-
You are not who fear said you were.
-
You are not who shame said you were.
-
You are Mine.
The enemy wants believers exhausted, distracted, offended, addicted to comfort, spiritually passive, and afraid to speak truth.
Why? Because awakened believers are dangerous to darkness.
I hear the Spirit saying “the ROAR is returning to Zion”.
In Scripture, Zion represents the dwelling place of God. His people. His city. His presence. And I believe the Lion of Judah is roaring over Zion again. Not with condemnation but with invitation.
The roar of Heaven is calling sons and daughters back to intimacy.
-
Back to purity.
-
Back to prayer.
-
Back to the Word.
-
Back to holy boldness.
-
Back to identity.
-
Back to the mission.
There is a remnant arising in this hour that refuses to bow to cultural compromise. A people who want Jesus more than platforms. Presence more than popularity. Purity more than performance. Truth more than applause. This is not the hour to sleep spiritually. This is the hour to arise.
O Sleeper, Christ Will Shine on You
Ephesians says:
“Awake, O sleeper… and Christ will shine on you.”
Notice this carefully: The light comes after the awakening.
Many people are waiting to feel spiritually alive again before they move toward God. But awakening often begins with obedience.
-
You get up.
-
You return to prayer.
-
You open the Bible again.
-
You worship again.
-
You repent again.
-
You surrender again.
-
You seek Him again.
And suddenly light begins flooding places that once felt dark.
The enemy whispers:
-
“You’ve gone too far.”
-
“You’ve failed too much.”
-
“You’re too exhausted.”
-
“You’re too late.”
But Jesus still calls dead things forth. Lazarus came out of the grave. Dry bones stood up again. Peter was restored after failure. Paul awakened after blindness. And God still awakens people today.
This Is the Hour of Awakening
I believe there are people reading this right now who feel the stirring of God again for the first time in a long time. Not emotion. Not hype. But conviction. A deep hunger and longing. That Holy fire deep inside your belly. The I know God is calling me deeper thought. Maybe you have been asleep spiritually. Maybe distracted. Maybe wounded. Maybe numb. Maybe disappointed. Maybe afraid.
But the call still stands: Awake, awake!
-
Arise from the dust.
-
Step back into the light.
-
Pick up your mantle again.
-
Return to your first love.
-
Return to prayer.
-
Return to the secret place.
-
Return to holiness.
-
Return to Jesus.
Because the King is in your midst. And nothing stays the same when He arrives.
I want to end with this song that I wrote. Its called:
