Sony Pictures’ AFFIRM Films has released the official trailer for Flywheel: Ignition of the Soul, the anticipated theatrical release from the Kendrick Brothers, whose films have inspired audiences around the world for more than two decades. The trailer offers a first look at the emotional story of redemption and restoration ahead of the film’s U.S. theatrical release on October 16.
Flywheel: Ignition of the Soul reimagines the Kendrick Brothers’ first feature film as an authentic Brazilian production, filmed in Portuguese on location in Rio de Janeiro with a local cast and creative team. Marking a major milestone for international faith-based filmmaking, the film has been dubbed into English for its U.S. theatrical release, making this new adaptation accessible to North American audiences while preserving the authenticity of the original Brazilian performances.
Alongside the trailer debut, AFFIRM Films announced the English-language voice cast for the U.S. theatrical release, featuring Brett Varvel (Disciples in the Moonlight), Masey McLain (The Baxters), Todd Terry (Vindication), and Lara Silva (The Chosen).

At the center of Flywheel: Ignition of the Soul is Noah Silva, a successful used-car salesman whose relentless pursuit of success has slowly cost him the people who matter most. As his carefully built life begins to unravel, Noah is forced to confront a simple but life-changing question: What is the price of integrity?
Directed by Alessandro Barros and written by Alex Kendrick, the film stars Mario Bregieira, Pérola Faria, Guilherme Tavares, Felipe Folgosi, Adriano Canindé, and Elizeu Rodrigues, with Alex Kendrick.
The movie is produced by Mark Miller, Daniel Friesen, and Wiltonauar Moura, with Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick, Jim McBride, and Ygor Siqueria serving as executive producers. Flywheel: Ignition of the Soul opens exclusively in U.S. theatres on October 16 and then opens in theatres across Brazil and Latin America in November.
Ahead of the theatrical release of Flywheel, David C Cook will publish an eight-week interactive bible study based on the film on October 6. Written by Alex and Stephen Kendrick, this companion study reflects the brothers’ commitment to creating resources that extend the impact of their films, inviting individuals and small groups to explore the biblical themes of integrity, faith, and redemption. This study will also be available in Spanish.
