Rev. Samuel Rodriguez on U.S. bombing in Iran: ‘Ultimately, we pray for peace in the Middle East’

Rev. Samuel RodriguezSACRAMENTO, Calif. — Given the recent strike in Iran, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, Pastor of New Season and President of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, issues the following statement:

“In light of the U.S. bombing in Iran, I urge us to fall to our knees and pray.

We pray for our leaders that God would give them clarity and wisdom. We pray that Iran’s leaders would abandon terror once and for all. We pray for the protection of innocent families in Iran, Israel and across the region. Ultimately, we pray for peace in the Middle East.

I am extremely grateful that the president of the United States of America finished his address to the nation by affirming love for God and asking for his sovereign protection.

May the Church stand united for such a time as this. We pray God brings unity where there is hurt and that He would bring hope to a broken world.”
