ANAHEIM, Calif. — This past weekend, the Harvest Crusade hosted the 34th year of its annual evangelistic crusade in Southern California at the Honda Center with over 230,000 attendees and more than 7,000 people responding to the Gospel.
Honoring the theme “Jesus Changes Everything” the outreach event drew over 32,000 people in-person and 215,000 streamed online. This was Harvest’s first-ever crusade at the Honda Center in Anaheim where attendees enjoyed two nights of performances from award-winning Christian artists.
More than 600 media outlets across the nation partnered with Harvest to broadcast and livestream the event. In addition, 272 Southern California churches participated in this year’s event, providing mobilization and volunteers.
Saturday began with performances by Phil Wickham, Passion worship band and singer Taya, followed by a message from Pastor Greg Laurie on “Jesus and You.” Sunday’s event featured performances from Harvest Worship, and GRAMMY award-winning singers Chris Tomlin and Michael W Smith.
“We had an incredible immersive worship experience in the round. Thousands of people were turned away each night because every seat was taken by excited believers who wanted to worship. At the same time, this was our most effective evangelistic event that we perhaps have ever had.” said Laurie.
Nearly 7,000 people dedicated their lives to Christ over the two-day worship experience. Of these, more than 3,700 professions of faith were in the venue, and over 3,000 were online.
“There was an electric, revival-like atmosphere in that room both nights. You could sense God’s presence, said Laurie. I want to thank all of those that worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this as many described it as the best Harvest Crusade of all time.”
Since 1990, Harvest Crusades have been held in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. More than 8 million people have attended Laurie’s crusades in person, and millions more have participated online. More than 700,000 people have made professions of faith in Christ through Harvest outreaches.
