SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Empowered21 USA Hispanic Cabinet has officially merged with the Empowered21 USA Cabinet to unify Hispanic and non-Hispanic influence and realize Empowered21’s vision that every person in the United States has an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ, through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, by 2033.
Empowered21 is a global ministry that prepares and equips the 21st-century church to seek a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. An intentionally intergenerational cross-organizational effort, Empowered21 brings together leaders from around the world to focus on fulfilling the Great Commission and dealing with the challenges facing the church today.
“Now more than ever, we need a fresh movement of the Holy Spirit,” said Rev. Sam Rodriguez, Empowered21 USA Co-Chair. “God is already at work in powerful ways in the United States and we ask Him for more, trusting and expecting Him to provide more than we can imagine for such a time as this.”
The Empowered21 USA cabinet is planning a national gathering next year in Los Angeles to mark the 120th anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival and to call the American church into a new era of the work of the Holy Spirit. “AZUSA120” will take place April 28-29, 2006.
