Donna Feazell’s journey into the world of radio and television began with a vision—a vision to create a daily radio talk show that would serve as a platform for showcasing community events, news, weather, and a variety of interviews. This vision came to life on April 25, 2005, when Donna launched “The Edge” in Calhoun County, Alabama. Over the years, this show evolved to include city, county, state, and national events, as well as politics. The platform has also highlighted musicians from diverse genres such as Southern Gospel, Country Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, Sacred Harp, Country, Jazz, Folk, and Rock.
The next significant chapter in Donna’s career began on January 1, 2021, with the launch of IC Radio, an internet radio station dedicated to providing the best gospel music and being a source for news and entertainment. This platform has allowed Donna to reach a wider audience, sharing the message of faith and community through music and conversation.
In August 2023, Donna rebranded her show to “Donna’s Edge,” marking a new era in her broadcasting journey. With this rebranding came a renewed focus on creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere for her guests and listeners. Donna’s approach to her show is deeply personal—she believes in making her guests the “stars” and creating a living room-like feel that makes everyone feel at home. This warm, down-home style is what draws listeners in, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience after a long day.
Donna’s broadcasting career took off with the support of friend Tom Williams, owner of TV 24 in Jacksonville, AL, who gave her the opportunity to host “The Edge” and “In the Company of Women.” Throughout the years, she has been joined by co-hosts like Cathy Tillery and Rick Staines, adding variety and depth to her shows. Her career took another leap forward when she moved to Charlotte, NC, where she hosted and produced “The Women’s Edge” on TV 21, working with co-hosts Karlynn Walker and Natasha Hicks.
After her husband Phillip Feazell retired, they relocated to a farm in North Alabama, continuing her broadcasting journey from there. Donna’s Edge is not just about entertainment; it’s about truth. As a conservative political activist, Donna provides a platform for voices from all across the country, allowing viewers to form their own opinions. Her show features interviews with authors, speakers, musicians, and talented individuals who need a platform to showcase their gifts.
Donna’s Edge also delves into topics like farming, living off the land, and food preservation, reflecting Donna’s deep connection to her roots and her commitment to sharing practical, valuable knowledge with her audience. Her show airs on icradio.media and Charter Communications Channel 182 in North Alabama, and it is nationally syndicated on Abundant TV, available on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire. Additionally, her podcasts can be found on thenewscasters.com, and she remains active across all social media platforms.
