LOS ANGELES — On Wednesday, October 19 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Los Angeles Dream Center will be hosting its annual ‘Night of Dreams.’ The Dream Center is one of the largest outreach centers in the nation with a 550,000 sq/ft campus, and they are celebrating almost 3 decades of service to those in desperate need throughout Los Angeles. The proceeds from the evening will benefit 540,000 Los Angeles residents annually that use the various outreach, resource and transitional housing programs. The Dream Center’s combined food programs distribute over 5 million pounds of food per year. Additionally, the Dream Center has various transitional programs with over 500 spaces available to assist the homeless, military veterans, families, former foster youth, and recovering addicts to rebuild their lives in a safe and structured environment.
At the “Night of Dreams,” there will be inspirational stories of how the Dream Center has transformed people’s lives, reports on the impacts the programs have had in Los Angeles communities, and both a live and silent auction with unique trips, gifts, art and more. The evening will be hosted by Melissa Peterman, the actress and comedian known for her roles on Reba, Baby Daddy, and Young Sheldon. Guests will also be entertained with special musical performances from Loren Allred, Vonzell Solomon, and Matt Mauser.
“This has been no ordinary year for the people of Los Angeles, and we will ensure this is no ordinary annual moment of reflection for the Dream Center,” said Dream Center co-founder Matthew Barnett. “After a year of financial setbacks, economic hardship, and homelessness and addiction on the rise, it has been more critical than ever that the Dream Center – a safe haven and a place of refuge – keeps its doors open and helps every hurting person we possibly can. As we reflect on the lives saved and victories won over the past year, we’ll keep our eye on the future, knowing that more Angelenos are fighting hard battles right now and need support in their comeback.”
