New York City Billboards Highlight Across Nigeria this Easter in Times Square
New York, New York – Brad Brandon, CEO and Founder of Across Nigeria, with the help of Craig Syracusa, is delivering a powerful, impactful presence on the streets of New York City this Easter. Beginning the week of Monday, March 23, three powerful intersections in a city of 8 million people will see the critical message of Christian persecution that is affecting Nigeria. The intersections include 11th Avenue and West 52nd Street, 7th Avenue and West 40th Street, by Times Square, and 7th Avenue and West 27th Street.
Brad Brandon, the CEO of Across Nigeria, joined this project to impact a city that’s at the intersection of Sharia Law and atheism. Brandon’s speeches, interviews, and featured bylines are captivating audiences around the world. He highlights the escalating crisis facing Christians in Northern Nigeria, widely regarded as the most dangerous region in the world for followers of Jesus.
Drawing from his extensive experience of working in Northern Nigeria for 10 years, Brandon stated, “Today, in the epicenter of America, the media has a very spiritual and intricate role to play. The media’s responsibility is not to report on popular stories to get likes and clicks; it is to shed light on the hidden things in the darkness. It is their duty and calling to expose the perpetrator of evil, so today, here in this concrete jungle, we shine the light on Christian persecution,” said Brad Brandon.
This vision was made possible with the help of Craig Syracusa, host of Walk in Faith. Syracusa stated, “Billboards are not just a way to advertise a product or promote a brand they have the power to inspire, raise awareness, and motivate people toward change. That is the vision and inspiration behind this campaign. By placing these billboards in some of the busiest areas of New York City, our goal was to make people stop and reflect on the atrocities happening in places like Nigeria.”
Syracusa concluded, “Unlike social media, a billboard cannot be ignored. You cannot scroll past it or simply look away. It stands there, visible and unavoidable — just like the reality of what is happening. Just as these tragedies cannot be ignored, neither should the message displayed before us.”
Across Nigeria will continue its vital mission to share God’s love, provide aid to refugees and displaced communities, and advocate for an end to the violence in Northern Nigeria. For more information on Brad Brandon’s work and how to support these efforts, visit acrossnigeria.org.
